I have a ton of cookbooks at home, and I keep checking them out of the library too. I almost never use them though. The recipes always seem so impractical. I mean, seriously, any recipe that starts "Using two cups of the chicken stock on page 15" just doesn't bode well for me. And who needs three gallons of chicken stock, anyway? But I still enjoy reading them (and then thinking, please, are they kidding me?) Are there good, practical cook books out there somewhere?
